And there are other real-life distractions... such as the itch to do some spring cleaning...
(After all, even the subways (every inch!) here regularly get soapy-water scrubbings):

Your sashiko sampler is a beautiful personal memento of your time in Japan.
That was a major thing we noticed whilst visiting Japan, just how clean the trains and stations were.
I love your sashiko sampler, especially the 'floral hexagon' pattern. Spring is on its way, although it is still cold.
I've made a gentle start on my spring cleaning, but quilting is always 'distracting' me from doing some serious soapy-water scrubbing!
